Modern science has discovered few things that are “proven” to help brain injuries. Therefore, our insurance is only willing to pay for things that will maintain Samuel’s current status. Most of their remedies are medications or devices to keep him from getting worse. But we are on a mission to help Samuel get BETTER! That means we have to pursue many therapies that we are required to pay for on our own. Your donations thus far have helped us to care for Samuel, pay for bills insurance doesn’t cover and most importantly, provide Samuel with over 130 hyperbaric treatments, which have improved his capabilities immensely! We thank you for you continued support!
Currently, we are looking into pursuing the following therapies and acquiring the following equipment. Some of these items may be covered by insurance, others won’t be. Some we can get funded by outside organizations, others we can’t. So we certainly don’t expect to get everything right away, but this, I guess, is just our wish list!

Wheelchair Lift for our Suburban (since lifting his wheelchair in and out everyday is killing my back). Update here. I’ve figured out how to lift the wheelchair into the Suburban without destroying my back, so it is working for now. We are hoping to get the stroller soon so we can take it instead. The stroller is much cheaper than a lift would be.
